The Mediterranean Basin is one of the most Biologically diverse and complex places on Earth. It boasts the Mediterranean sea , which is the largest inland sea. The Mediterranean sea is a humongous 2.5 million square kilometers. Also, 52% of all the species located within the Mediterranean basin cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Sadly, many forests have been replaced with floristic scrubland because of human habitation.
